For my editing project, I got the word "concerned". The instructions wee to create a minimum 60 second film based on the word you were assigned. We were encouraged to use different shot and editing techniques to practice our skills.
I had to think how can I illustrate the word concern with no dialogue. I also had to think of different scenarios where someone would be concerned. Me and my partner came up with the idea of a concerned teacher who has a student that is being bullied or abused. On the storyboard, we were able to think of the different shots and visualize what needed to happen in order to make sure our story made sense. Having descriptions of our shots made it easier to film since we already had the instructions of what we needed to capture.
In this project, we used Adobe express which offers many different editing resources we needed for our short film. Unfortunately, we didn't reach the 60 second minimum. Next time we should plan better in regards to considering time requirements. We did however have a decent story line and our word was successfully conveyed.
